About Chris Cavallari

As far back as I can remember, I’ve had some type of camera in my hand, snapping photos of anything and everything, as often as I could. When I was 8 years old, a television show called “Movie Magic,” opened my eyes to the world of motion pictures. That event would change the course of my life.

Professional television and film production called my name when I was 15 years old. After graduating with honors with a Communications degree from Marist College several years later, I began my career with a small wedding and event video company, where I learned the ins and outs of production and business. Then in 2001, I was offered a position at ESPN, the world renowned sports entertainment television network.

In 2003, I landed in New Jersey, where Filmosity was born. There, I began freelance work as a camera operator and grip for film productions, video programs, and television shows. My career took me around the country and around the world, and had me working with clients like AT&T, Verizon, Merrill Lynch, American Express, and various news organizations, film productions, and independent producers. Perhaps my best learning experience during those six years was working with individuals and small organizations to create lasting memories for their events.

By 2009, I was burned out on big city life. I decided I needed a change, and I took a calculated risk by moving to Portland, Maine…sight unseen. Though I’d been to Maine before, I was looking for an adventure mixed with the quiet lifestyle I knew Maine could provide.

Since moving to Maine, I have had a successful social media networking career, which has led to speaking engagements with Social Media Breakfast Maine, Social Media FTW, and The Tech Maine Conference as the expert on Social Video and its importance in the web economy. I’ve created the travel/adventure/outdoors/craft beer website Part Time Vagabond, where like minded people can find information about living the vagabond lifestyle while still bearing their home responsibilities.

Today, I work for my passions. I love to build content for small businesses, non-profits, and other organizations, creating works of visual art and commerce that enable them to show potential customers that there are indeed humans running the show. Building a library of killer content is a vital element to your business growth in the new media marketplace.

Award winning Filmosity Productions is the key to creating fresh, compelling video, podcast, photography, and blog content for your business, non-profit, organization, or event. We cover corporate events, stream live video, shoot business profiles, and provide a host of other services that answer the question of all your potential customers: What can you do for me?
